Student Online Account
As an Art Institute student you are provided with an On-Line Services (OLS) account that includes email address and 5Mb of web storage space (10Mb if you are a Interactive Media Design student).  You can reach your account by typing in the following URL into the web browser’s address bar:   

http://stu.aii.edu

To log in, you’ll need to know your user id and password. If you don’t know it, you’ll need to got to the Registrar immediately to request it.

Uses for your online account:

Your user id is usually formed from the initials of your name plus numbers, e.g.

Jane Doe = jd281

Passwords

You will also be given a password. This password needs to be reset periodically. If you don't know your password, you will need to contact the Registrar to get it.

Your password, when changed (and any other passwords you have) should have the following features:


Cisco Clean Access (CCA) and logging into your computer

When your first log into an Art Institute computer, you will need to provide your username and password to access the Internet.

 Problems logging in?

If you are having difficulty logging in, please contact the Tech Dept.  If you are having problems with your OLS username or password, please visit one of the following places to get it reset:  Registrar’s office, Tech office.


How to create web pages for your student account

  1. Use Dreamweaver or another "web processor" (Microsoft FrontPage) on your computer to create the page. For simple web pages,  just use the Dreamweaver "design" view. Stick with text until you understand how images are linked to web pages.
     
  2. Save your web page with the name "index.html
     
  3. Put your web page inside a folder on your desktop
     
  4. Move your existing web page into this folder. Make sure it is called “index.html”.
     
  5. Open http://stu.aii.edu, and log in using your student username/password.
     
  6. Select “My Website” in the top left table of links
     
  7. When the website management screen appears, click on the File Manager Icon
     
  8. Click on the “public_html” hyperlink (next to folder with red arrow).
     
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on the “upload files to the current directory” button.
     
  10. Find your file by clicking on one of the “browse” buttons which appears. Then click on the “upload files” button.
     
  11. Visualize your files by going to your URL, which is composed of your username.

    if your username is “pm281” your web address is:
