Second Life Marketing 2006-present: Developed marketing/promotion strategies for Second Life, advocacy for use of Second Life in education, marketing/promotion of e-commerce websites using Second Life
Internet Marketing Consultant
1994-present:
Developed marketing and/or brand strategies for over 100 clients in the arts
& entertainment industry, including American Recordings, A&M Records,
and the J. Paul Getty Center for the Arts. Analyzed web traffic analysis using
WebTrends, Analog, Webalizer and developed site promotion strategies. Developed
email marketing programs, web promotion. for Radioactive Records, France Online,
Stonegarden Records.
Chief Marketing/Technology Officer,
Indiespace 1994-2002:
In an unusual hybrid position, developed marketing strategies and constructed
over 1000 mini-websites for independent musicians, artists, filmmakers, and
performers. Designed websites for over 30 web hosting clients in music, film and
entertainment industry. Implemented Internet/web technology supporting websites,
including HTML, CGI, PHP, and database programming, e-commerce software.
Generational
marketing (GenY) consultant 2000-present: Developed theory for the post-GenX
“GenY” or “Millennial” generation (born after 1982) and their future
impact on entertainment. In conjunction with Lifecourse Associates (http://www.lifecourse.com),
wrote “Marketing Entertainment to Millennials,” a mini-book
introducing the features of the new generation to the entertainment industry.
Authored articles on generational marketing for Brandchannel (http://brandchannel.com)
and other publications. Analyzed impact of Internet technologies on
communication style/branding potential for the “Millennial” generation.

Conducted
